The Future of the Gaming Platform |

Gamers will soon have more choices than ever before as consoles, PCs, set-top boxes, PDAs, handhelds, and even cell phones begin delivering gaming experiences. Will consumers want multiple devices - consoles at home, PC games at work, and wireless on the road - or will user groups continue to be segregated by platform? Which platforms will prove the most successful - can online gaming tip the scales away from consoles as the dominant platform, will wireless gaming affect the handheld market? Can and should developers target multiple platforms? How can content be leveraged across several varying devices with different technical and operating characteristics? |
